Connecting Gaming Consoles to the OWU Network

Gaming consoles can be registered on the OWU residential (wired) network by providing their MAC address (the physical address of the console's network card) along with the student's name and ID number to the Faculty/Staff Help Desk. Turn around time can be as little as 10-15 minutes, but may be more depending on workload.

How do I find the MAC address on my Xbox 360?

To locate the MAC address of your Xbox 360 console:
  1. Go to the System area of the Xbox Dashboard and select Network Settings.

  3. From Additional Settings, select Advanced Settings.
  4. At the bottom of this screen you'll see a heading called Wired MAC Address. This 12-digit sequence is the address you need to send to the Help Desk.
